This is the national anthem of Mozambique. Every day before school all the school
children gather to sing the anthem. I
have to memorize the lyrics because every day a different teacher leads the
children in song. After practicing a lot with my host sister and mom, I almost have it memorized! It takes a long time to sing because we repeat the chorus twice between each verse and again at the end. If you have a chance,
look up the melody—it’s a beautiful song.
Man!, you must be gettin good at your portuguese! Muito bem! ;) ... thats about all I remember from the one quarter I took, and I'm guessing I still spelled it wrong :) ces la vi. It sounds like you're havin' a great time! So glad that your host family is taking you in and showing you around. My host family in chile was the same way, and we went on so many trips and excursions to cool local places! I can't wait to see and hear more of what you get into. Way to be courageous, Sienna. I'm rooting for you and praying :) (ps...and I'm posting a letter today, so I hope it reaches you)
